Sometimes all you get is a single chance to turn a surprise into happily ever after…

Chance

One night. That’s all I wanted.

A single night to forget I’m a widowed single dad with a million responsibilities and a ton of emotional baggage. To remember what it’s like to just be a man

I didn’t need any extra drama in my life. Romantic complications? No thanks.

But after that night, everything changed. Forever…

Rowan

Having a one-night stand with a sexy, older stranger was not part of my plan.

All I wanted out of this small town was a place to recover. A fresh start. Maybe even a little New Year’s Eve fun

I had no way of knowing my hot hookup would be my new co-worker.

Or that I was actually way more fertile than I’d been led to believe…

Single Chance, book 3 in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, is a spicy, forced proximity, age gap, accidental pregnancy contemporary romance that can be read as a stand-alone. Download today for the laughs, big feels, and llama appearances you’ve come to expect from Dragonfly Lake.

Found family

Gah!!!

Rowan & Chance are 🔥. I wasn’t sure how the one-night stand to co-workers to surprise baby was going to go but Knupp knocked it out of the park!!!

Rowan is a solid female lead throughout the story. She has her moments of vulnerability and insecurity but that’s to be expected in her situation. Chance is mostly an amazing hero with a few moments where you want to smack him. Sam is a typical teenager just trying to figure out where she belongs.

I want one!

Ok, I want to know where my single dad is?!?!

Amy did another incredible job in Single Chance of pulling the reader in within the first chapter. Rowan and Chance were relatable, and you could really feel a part of the story.

The single dads are dwindling down in Dragonfly Lake, and I'm not ready to be done, so I think Amy should find some more single dads who are making the move to the area! Keep the stories coming!!

Great single dad, unplanned pregnancy romance

I love an unplanned pregnancy, single parent romance and this one didn't disappoint. Add in the complication of co-workers and it hits in all the feels. I totally related to Chance's need to feel like a "real human" instead of just "dad" on New Years Eve, and the fact that Rowan ends up his co-worker and got pregnant against all odds just shows that those two were meant to be. Amy writes swoon-worthy heroes that know exactly how to treat a woman and show them the love they feel - her heroes are the epitome of cinnamon roll heroes and I love them. Chance and Rowan did a great job handling Samantha's feelings and navigating a new life together that neither of them expected to have.

A found-family miracle

My hat is off to the heroine of this book. Rowan put her entire life on hold to provide needed care for her grandmother who had raised her from age 7 to adulthood. Caring for a loved one during cognitive decline is exhausting, both mentally and physically. Now, she has to pick up the shattered pieces of her life and try to start over again. The New Year's fling with Chance, a chance meeting at the party held at the B&B where she is staying, was totally unplanned and unexpected, an opportunity to feel something other than fatigue, loss and grief. For Chance it was an escape from the unrelenting responsibility of single-parenting a young teen. One and done, and nothing more to say. When they find themselves as coworkers, they learn how totslly disconnected their life stages are. Neither has the bandwidth to cope with any new changes. I loved it when a miraculous impossibility thrusts them into a long-term partnership and forces them to reevaluate priorities and attitudes.
I thought that Rowan did a better job of navigating the situation because she was more open to the changes. Chance, although very supportive of Rowan, was surprisingly resistant to any change to his life and routines, which provided him with a sense of control, however illusory it might be. I was so amused when it took Chance's 14 year old daughter to make him face reality

I received a free advance copy of this story from the author via BookFunnel and voluntarily chose to share my review.

Take a Chance 😉

This is a sweet and steamy, fast paced and easy read.
I loved the realistic portrayal of a single Dad with a teen daughter both coping with some difficult issues. Chance and Sam were wonderfully realistic. Rowan fits into their family perfectly and together their past hurts start to heal.
Loads of emotion, angst, banter, humour, heart, surprises, sweetness, steam and romance. Check the warnings as this story has moments of grief, loss and addiction.
